The History of the Organization
The organization was founded in 1976 by a visionary group of sales representatives who recognized the need to unite in order to develop the gift market in the southwest.
Their vision included not only the current requirements of the region, but the population growth trends of the nation. Their goal was to position the OASIS Gift Show in Phoenix as a major contender in the gift show arena, competing with well-established shows in Los Angeles, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, and Chicago.
From the first twelve booth trade show in 1976, OASIS has grown to national prominence. Today, the OASIS Gift Show boasts 250,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, representing thousands of spectacular product lines, and attracting from 2,000 – 3,000 buyers annually. The OASIS Gift Show receives extensive coverage in national trade publications such as Giftware News, Accessory Merchandising, and Gifts and Decorative Accessories.
